Have you ever wondered what it was like to make the first atomic bomb? Also, have you ever wondered how they were made? To find out, read the graphic novel  Bomb by Steve Sheikin. The story actually begins  after World War II. Where the FBI were searching for a spy that has betrayed his country  by giving the secrets of atomic bombs to the Soviet Union.. The story goes back in time to  New York City with young  Robert Oppenheimer one of the scientists behind the atomic bomb. He finds out German scientists split an atom’ to Sweden to talk with them and they go to Einstein’s to ask him to write a letter to the president. A problem Oppenheimer has is that Germany has the technology to spit  atoms and Oppenheimer and his team have a chance to make the atomic Bomb’ but they don’t know how. Will Oppenheimer and his team be able to make an atomic bomb or  will they fall against the Axis powers. To find out read  bomb by Steven Sheikin.

If you liked Bomb then you may also like Fallout by Steve Sheinkin who also wrote Bomb . These books connect because both the books have America and Russia racing to build the first atomic bomb. Also, these books are not the  same thing, Fallout takes place during the cold war. The cold war  was a time after WWII when they were rebuilding Germany and the friendliness. What Fallout is about is Russia and America having  a race to rebuild the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. The book had a bunch of things about finding the spies that give info to the other sides. In conclusion, both these books are good, but make sure to read Bomb the graphic novel first.
